FANTASY FOOTBALL – Odell Beckham Jr. and 7 Other Over-Hyped Players
Some of the hype is warranted, but there’s definitely a need to pump your brakes on a few players that are flying high right now. To help with knowing who these guys are, we asked our featured experts which players are over-hyped and who are deserving of the chatter.
FANTASY FOOTBALL – Quarterback Position Primer
At some point in every legitimate fantasy player’s career, they wrestle with the idea that waiting on a quarterback will guarantee success. Stack your roster with the skill position suffering attrition that year and you will survive the 17-week gauntlet. Well, I am calling BS.
FANTASY FOOTBALL – 6 Players to Avoid
Drafting a bust can completely derail your fantasy team’s season. You typically only give the term bust to players that are drafted in the higher rounds because you are relying on these players to perform at a certain level. The only way to not have this affect your team is to get lucky and hit on some sleepers later in the draft. For that reason, correctly identify the busts before your draft is very important.

Indeed, there may be some truth to this sentiment.

FANTASY BASEBALL – 5 Hitters to Avoid
In my original rankings for the season (preserved here), I had Mesoraco listed fourth among catchers. I buy the spike in power. His home stadium is perfect for home runs, he’s adjusted to a more fly ball oriented approach, and he’s slashed his infield fly rate. The BABIP might have jumped 45 points, but it looks like a sustainable increase. We should expect some regression because history tells us it’s coming.
FANTASY BASEBALL – 5 Studs Due for Regression
Regression is defined as a measure of the relation between the mean value of one variable and corresponding values of other variables. A negative connotation is normally associated with regression, but it’s important to note that regression works both ways. This means that regressing to the mean could indicate an increase in performance going forward.
